Stratas with 5 or more lots need an Electrical Planning Report by Dec 31, 2026, in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and the CRD, and by Dec 31, 2028, everywhere else in BC. New stratas have 5 years to comply with these regulations, which also align with Clean BC 2030 compliance initiatives. Additionally, incorporating features like EV Ready Plans and utilizing G.O.A.T. load-sharing technology can help stratas access BC Hydro rebates, making the transition smoother and more cost-effective.

Up to $137K in BC Hydro Rebates

Stratas can combine BC Hydro rebates, which can total up to $137,000 for planning, infrastructure, and chargers, to support their EV Ready Plans. Additionally, a completed planning document is required before applying for these funds to ensure compliance with Clean BC 2030 regulations. Incorporating G.O.A.T. load-sharing technology can further enhance the effectiveness of your EV infrastructure.

EV Ready Plan Rebate

BC Hydro offers generous rebates, covering 75% of an EV Ready Plan, up to $3,000. To qualify for these BC Hydro rebates, your plans must align with the updated EV Ready Plans requirements, which will be in effect from July 15, 2026. Infrastructure & Charger Rebates

Infrastructure costs can qualify for BC Hydro rebates, covering 50% up to $600 per parking stall, with a maximum of $120,000 available.
