Innovative Power and Distribution is seeking a qualified Electrical engineer to support our Electrical Planning reports, Electrical Vehicle Ready plan and continued development of the G.O.A.T power manager within the lower mainland. Currently Based in Cloverdale. Under the guidance of our team you will assist in the deployment of commercial, public and residential EV charging and air conditioning solutions through the completion of these reports.
As a rapidly scaling innovative company treading new ground in energy management and working for to make Green BC 2030 a reality, we are looking for a highly driven individual who is interested in the Automotive, Electrical, and Green industries
Your position will be responsible for the completion of electrical inspections and the plans/reports that follow them. As well as developing new EV charging and electrical distribution solutions. Additionally, you will provide assistance with R&D, programming, and manufacturing as needed.
Required Qualifications:
· Holds a Professional engineer designation with qualifications in Electrical engineering and is in good standing with the association of professional engineers and geologists of the province of BC
· Or are registered as an applied science technologists under the professional governance act
· Experienced with Electrical Planning in commercial and residential
· Experience in customer relations
· Report writing experience
· Observant and attentive to detail
· Comfortable with remote and individual work
· Holds a valid and current BC driver’s license
· Safety minded
Bonus Qualifications:
· Comfortable with the development of software and technology to support preexisting products and plans
· Comfortable with Electrical inspection tools -i.e. Fluke meters
· Experience working in regulated fields and helping to provide rebates to customers
· Experience with BCHydro
· Work experience with strata
· Qualifications or experience with power factor correction
· App development/integration experience
· Knowledge in the deployment of Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi repeaters, broadband connections
· Manufacturing experience
· Car enthusiasts
· Experience in permit applications
The position is set to start mid to late July. And will be based out of Cloverdale. Accommodations and moving expenses are not provided. Reporting and inspection equipment will be provided. Expected work schedule will be a standard 40-hour work week with some possibility of working around your schedule as needed. You will be expected to conduct site visits and inspections with associated report writing for ~75% of working hours remaining time will be spent on development, permit applications and R&D. Some support for the manufacturing arm may be requested.
There will be a 3-month probation period to ensure you are a good fit for the team. A permanent employment offer may be given at that point.
Rate of pay: $30 - $35 on with extra being for experienced and extra qualified individuals.
